For people who love to sing together.
The Boxties love singing in all its forms.
If you’ve ever been to a Boxties In Good Company show, you’ll know that we love gospel, country and the traditional songs of Ireland and Scotland - music with great storytelling, truthfulness and emotional generosity at its heart.
It’s music born from traditions where singing together is a communal experience, which enables people to share warmth and love, and connect with one another.
So, to delve deeper into that territory, we’ve created Singing In Good Company, a five week experience for people who just love to sing.
Who can take part? Everyone! Anybody can experience the joy and connection that comes from singing together. Just by being human we all possess the essentials for expressive music-making - emotions and an imagination.
Join us, learn some great songs and discover the magic in the nooks and crannies of music that we love.

The Boxties are highly experienced music educators with an innovative approach to music education that underpins all our teaching and aims to engage people in expressive music making, to open doors to the magic of music – the stuff that exists between the notes and off the page – the stuff that can be difficult to put into words, but is certainly tangible, and ultimately can be transformative.
Our approach has been honed over many years, through directing projects such as Stand With Us and Alafiah for the Brisbane Biennial Music Festival, a Seniors’ Choir for Brisbane City Council and the award-winning multicultural refugee choir project Songs of Hope and Healing for QPAC.
