The Boxties are a Brisbane-based ensemble whose music has roots in the classical, folk and contemporary worlds. We’re especially drawn to gospel, country, and the traditional music of Ireland and Scotland - music with great storytelling, truthfulness and emotional generosity at its heart.

We also love to connect music making with two of our other passions - food and wine. In partnership with like-minded hospitality industry folk we've created an intimate show called In Good Company, where we share the stage with chefs and sommeliers, exploring the myriad ways music, food and wine can evoke ideas, powerful emotions, and memories.

Alongside our busy performing schedule we run a mentorship program, school workshops and community projects.
